We were working on the following Capillary Electrophoresis systems: CESI 8000 Plus, PA 800 Plus, P/ACE™ MDQ Plus, GenomeLab GeXP™ and C100HT Biologics Analyzer as well as on the following Front-End HPLC MS systems: M5 Microflow LC System, NanoLC™ 400 Series and Ultra-low Flow CESI 8000 Plus.

2008-03 — 2014-04 — Joining Bio-Rad I managed the software development and software quality assurance department for its Clinical Systems Division (later merged into the Clinical Diagnostics Group’s software team). Some of the product lines my team was responsible for were the hemoglobin test systems VARIANT II, VARIANT II TURBO, VARIANT II TURBO Link with the CDM software, D-10, D-50 and, the brand new development of the D-100. In the same product family we developed the GDM software for the VARIANTnbs Newborn Screening System. We also worked on the automated autoimmune EIA and IFA instruments including the PhD and the new developed PhD lx system. Other responsibilities include updating processes, working with Regulatory Affairs on submissions, and introducing new tools.

2000-07 — 2008-03 — I started in the development team for the Stratus OCT. Then I was the software-side technical lead for the Visante OCT. After that I managed the Stratus OCT team and software program. I also took on the management of a software technology team that was matrixed in into the product development teams. Last but not least, I lead the architecture team for a communication platform with the goal to support all product platforms of the ophthalmic business. During my time at CZM I also got involved in the DICOM and IHE standardization.

1995-11 — 2000-06 — I worked on various automated measurement processes for telecom equipment, managed the development of software to record digital tracks for a sound studio, and created a front end for a sound simulation system.

Software Engineer, PREMA GmbH, Germany
1992-09 — 1995-10 — I was part of the team that developed the PREMA 8017, which was the first 7 1/2 digit digital multimeter with a built in hard disk and a graphical display. My main responsibilities were the communication engine (HP-IB or IEEE-488 bus and RS 232) and the data analysis and display modules.

Education
Graduated 1992 from University of Kaiserslautern, Germany as Diplom-Ingenieur in Electrical Engineering (equivalent to MSEE) with the major in Signal Processing.
